Robert Odell is a highly experienced attorney and executive leader. His wide-ranging practice includes venture and private finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and general business and employment matters. He primarily advises early to growth-stage, venture-backed companies and their investors, from inception through growth and exit.
He began his career as an attorney at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel as a corporate associate. A lifelong entrepreneur, he has been involved at the inception of a number of companies, often as a co-founder, including Maxeler Technologies, Inc., real estate developer Vantage Properties, Bigfoot Interactive, Inc. (sold to NYSE-listed ADS) and the non-profit Mahalo Gives. He started his first company at age 13 and is contemplating where to become a vintner some point in the future. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, Cornell University, a J.D. from New York University School of Law and occasionally the title of champion in weekend tennis tournaments. Rob saves his best negotiating tactics for home, where his daughters are persistently honing their skills in persuasion.
